Best Buy's Shop Early, Save Big Sale

3:31pm EST UPDATE: Best Buy has put the Westinghouse 32" 720p 60Hz LED HDTV on sale for $199.99 w/ Free Shipping! This certainly won't last long!

Best Buy's Shop Early, Save Big Sale

We all expected Best Buy to put on a weekend sale and while there was no advanced notice this year, they have now started their Shop Early, Save Big Sale which begins now and lasts through tomorrow, Saturday, November 5.

In our coverage of the Walmart Super Sale, we mentioned that the hottest items in the weekend sales historically have been video-game related. While Walmart's offering wasn't overwhelming, Best Buy has answered the call as they are pairing a $100 gift card with the purchase of either the Xbox 360 Kinect 4GB Console bundle or Xbox 360 Kinect 250GB Console bundle.

We've seen previous sales that offered $75 gift cards, but $100 is the largest gift card we've seen bundled along with the Xbox 360 consoles.

Best Buy also has taken aim at both Walmart's and Target's sales, as they are offering the Dynex 42" 1080p LED HDTV for $399.99 (same price as Walmart's 42" Sanyo) and an eMachines 14" Laptop w/ Intel Celeron, 2GB Memory, 320GB HDD, DVD Burner, HDMI Output, Webcam and Windows 7 for $199.99 (same price as Target's Acer laptop).

While the technical specifications of both laptops are similar, the biggest differences are that the Best Buy eMachine features a larger screen (14" Widescreen) and an optical drive at the sacrifice of being less portable (less battery life, heavier/larger). Target's Acer has a smaller 11.6" screen but also features a 6-cell battery capable of up to 7 hours of battery life.

A small list of the deals available are listed below:

With three of the largest retailers now participating in special weekend sales, we'll see if Amazon (or any other retailer) plans on jumping into the mix! If they do, we'll be sure to keep you updated.
