After years of being the most anticipated of summer sales with Prime Day 2019, Amazon may finally have some competition.
According to their press release, Amazon's Prime Day will be a "Two-Day Parade of Epic Deals" on July 15th & 16th. Amazon's Prime Day is only for their Prime Members, but new subscribers can get a 30-Day trial and use that to gain access to all of the deals!
Not only are they advertising a Prime Day Concert, available to watch live on Prime Video on July 10th, but Amazon already has a Toshiba 43" 1080P Fire Edition Smart TV offer available for $179.99 (Was $299.99) displayed on their Prime Day announcement page as a starter deal. This deal is valid through June 30th. A row of sneak peek Prime Day Launches can also be found towards the bottom of this page.
eBay recently announced that their "Crash Sale" is on July 15th (the same day that Prime Day begins) and they are offering over 50% Off on many top brands like LG, Samsung, Apple, and many more. Why call it "Crash Sale"? eBay is poking a bit of fun at the fact that Amazon's site crashed when their Prime Day started last year. If Amazon's site crashes again? eBay will drop even more deals on it's site. They aren't only offering a one or two day sale though, eBay is offering sales throughout the entire month of July!
- July 1st-7th: The July 4th Savings Sale will consist of Up to 85% Off savings on Camping Gear, Outdoor Toys, Summer Essentials, Robotic Vacuums, Cookware, Stand Mixers, and other Appliances.
- July 15th: Crash Sale and The first day of the Amazon Prime Day Sale!
- July 8th-22nd: Hot Deals for Hot Days Sale will have Up to 80% Off deals on Tech, Home Appliances, Smart Home Devices, and more.
eBay already offers free shipping on almost all of their items (without requiring a membership) while also offering a Best Price Guarantee. If you buy an item from eBay and find that exact same item for a lower price (and currently in-stock) at one of the listed competitors (Amazon is one of them) within 48 hours of your purchase, eBay will give you a coupon for 110% of the difference!
Target announced that they are also stepping up to the plate with their Target Deal Days sale, which will go live online on the same days as the Amazon Prime Day sale, July 15th & 16th. Target is pushing the fact that you can get your orders on the same day you purchase them by using Drive Up, Order Pickup, and Same-Day Delivery from Shipt.
The savings increase if you have a Target REDcard. Not only do you get free 2-day shipping on most items, but you also get an additional 5% off of your order.
This is a great time to pull up multiple tabs from each store and start comparison shopping! While you can get a lot of your Christmas shopping done early this way, don't forget to take a good look at some of the "deals" that all of these sites will be posting.
Make sure to compare different sites to see what the actual original price of that item usually goes for, and always read reviews before purchasing. Now is also a great time to take advantage of some cash back sites and get back some of what you spend.
Keep your eye on our Home Page as we list the hottest deals we can find from both of these sites during these sales. We'll be sure to post some of the best priced deals we can find in a wide variety of categories!
