2016 Black Friday Toy Lists Released

2016 Black Friday Toy Lists Released

The official Black Friday 2016 Toy Lists have been released from several major retailers. While these don't really contain any deals yet, we like them for a few reasons. First and foremost, these are the prelude to toy books and ad scans! Secondly, they help us get a handle on what will be at the top of wish lists this year. If you are shopping for a little one this holiday season, these are a great resource when building your to-buy lists. In addition, the brands and items that you notice on multiple top toy lists will usually have hot Black Friday discounts.

As we predicted, several of these toy lists feature merchant exclusives. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but keep it in mind when planning your holiday shopping. We highlighted some of the exclusives for each store below -- note that these may not be comprehensive exclusive lists, however they will give you a head start on your toy shopping preparations.

Kmart released their Fab 15 Toys list. It features toys that are suitable for all ages and play styles. Brands and characters include Barbie, Lego, Paw Patrol, Tsum Tsums, and the omnipresent Disney. Kmart Exclusives on this list are the Play-Doh Picnic Adventure, the 2016 Holiday Barbie, and the Disney Doc McStuffins: Rosie the Rescuer. You can see other Kmart Exclusive toys here.

Toys R Us released their 2016 Hot Toy List as well. It's broken into two parts. The Fabulous 15 Picks are the best of the best, and the bottom half of the page features other popular toys. This list is full of great gift ideas for kids of all ages. Toys R Us Exclusives include the PJ Masks Headquarters Play Set (coming soon), the Shopkins Tall Mall Storage Case, the NERF N-Strike Elite TerraScout RC Drone Blaster, the Sky Viper v2400 HD Streaming Drone w/ FPV Headset (coming soon), and the Power Wheels 12-volt Wild Thing.

Target unveiled their Top Toys for 2016, along with the fact that they'll have nearly 1,800 new or exclusive products for sale this holiday season. Their list is broken down into age group with tons of options within each category. Exclusives are coming to their website soon!

Walmart revealed their "Chosen by Kids" toys list, and over 20% of the items featured are Walmart exclusives. Noticing a trend here? A few popular exclusives are the Disney Princess 24V Carriage Ride-On, the My Little Pony Explore Equestria Crystal Empire Castle Value Pack, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Remote Control Skateboarding Mikey.

Finally, Kohl's posted their Top Toys and (surprise surprise) a bunch of exclusives via a press release. Of note -- if you know an American Girl fan, then you're familiar with how difficult it is to save money on those toys. Kohl's will be offering the 2016 Girl of the Year products in more than 1,100 Kohl's stores. That means that you might be able to get Kohl's Cash on items that rarely go on sale.
